1. Use Hosted Images
Hosted images are stored on a web server and linked via a URL in your signature. This ensures the images are not embedded or attached directly to the email.
Steps to Use Hosted Images
- Host Your Images:
- Use a reliable hosting service (e.g., your website, Google Drive with public sharing enabled, or a signature management tool like Email Signature Rescue).
- Ensure the image URLs are secure (i.e., start with
https://
).
- Update Your Apple Mail Signature:
- Open Apple Mail and go to Mail > Preferences > Signatures.
- Paste the hosted image's URL into the signature HTML code (see "Edit the Raw HTML" below for detailed steps).
- Test the Signature:
- Send a test email to verify that the image appears inline without being treated as an attachment.
2. Use Email Signature Rescue
Email Signature Rescue simplifies the process by hosting your images and generating properly formatted signatures.
How to Use Email Signature Rescue:
- Create or Edit Your Signature:
- Log in to your Email Signature Rescue account.
- Add your images using the interface, and they will automatically be hosted on their secure servers with a CDN for fast image delivery.
- Install the Signature:
- Follow the instructions to install the signature for Apple Mail using an installer app for MacOS or Safari.
- Test the Signature:
- Send a test email and confirm that images appear inline, not as attachments.
